HOW DOES MICROSHIELD 360 FIT INTO CDC DISINFECTION PROTOCOLS?

It’s no surprise that businesses and institutions are turning to the CDC for guidance on how they should properly protect their facilities during this global pandemic. It’s certainly at the forefront of every business owner or custodian’s mind. What makes the situation more difficult is the inability to know who is coming into a location that may be sick and what they’re interacting with. The notion being that this is a fluid process which needs to be constantly evaluated and altered given results and changes in your internal environment. Attention should always be paid to high traffic areas and more specifically high touch point surfaces. This makes sense. If multiple people are contacting the same object in a given day the associated risk of transfer multiples as a result.

The following framework is provided for proper cleaning and disinfection:

Normal routine cleaning with soap and water will decrease how much of the virus is on surfaces and objects, which reduces the risk of exposure.

Disinfection using EPA List N: Disinfectants for Coronavirus (COVID-19) can also help reduce the risk. Frequent disinfection of surfaces and objects touched by multiple people is important.

If products on EPA List N: Disinfectants for Coronavirus (COVID-19) are not available, bleach solutions can be used if appropriate for the surface and will be effective against Coronaviruses when properly diluted.

To further prevention and protection all individuals should always wash hands routinely with soap and water for 20 seconds. Using hand sanitizer when this situation is not readily available… or as many know time is simply lacking and it’s a matter of convenience.
